
about reimagined roux
I love everything about food, talking about it, eating it, making it, reading about it, going to restaurants, all of it! Ever since I was young, food has always been synonymous with community, family, friends, laughter, and love. It's the way my family expresses their love to each other, and became my way to express love too. But as I started getting better at cooking/baking, I started experimenting too. What if I used red wine instead of white? Use dark brown sugar instead of white sugar? Added some lemon zest or almond extract or apple butter? And from there "reimagined roux" started taking shape. Creating, reimagining, and discovering new flavors from classic recipes has shown me a whole new way of approaching food and I want to share that love, knowledge, and my cooking/baking journey with all of you! Remember, recipes are guides, no recipe is set in stone, and there's never a bad time for a good meal!
